Twitter for Android

Recently Twitter for Android was updated to a brand new version boasting lots of new features and as usualy lots of people complained. However, I like the new look but I have a few small issues with it on my device :(

Note: This was tested on a HTC Wildfire with CM7 but I know the limits of the device

Look and Feel

I like the look and feel! I think it feels nice and fresh, just take this welcome page:

Welcome

The main screen once logged in looks like so:

Main Screen

Which I like, except on an LDPI screen those big boxes at the top don't do it any good. I like them, but also the content is way too big for them. My suggestion to Twitter is to remove the text in the bottom and just let us have icons! :D One nick also is this idea of switching screen names and real names, which I don't like and there is no option to change this which makes me a bit unhappy

The Pull-To-Refresh implementation leaves much to be desired, as it's slow and feels extremely laggy compared with the rest of the app.

Composing

Composing a Tweet isn't too good when you have SwiftKeyX installed :( I'd love them to make it go to a normal view on LDPI devices instead of a Dialog.

Connect Tab

The Connect Tab is nice, I like the search and the additions to this feed on Twitter, except it's taking up a lot of room :( I also don't like the fact the text on the buttons is positioned wrong.

A Tweet looks like this. It looks good, except for that line in the middle of the action buttons :(

Performance

Really fast. I like it!

Except for Pull-To-Refresh it's really fast and responsive.

Overall

Overall, I think it's really good. It just needs a few layout changes. I would love for Twitter to open-source the app as they promised when they launched it, but it depends on what the Twitter Team's plans are
